 **Pakistani forces killed eight terrorists during operation in Waziristan**   **26. November 2023**   **Peshawar, Pakistan**    In a major blow to terrorist activities, Pakistani security forces have killed eight militants in an Intelligence-Based Operation (IBO) in the South Waziristan region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.  The operation was carried out based on  intelligence reports that indicated the presence of terrorists in the Sararogha area.    According to a statement  by  Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the  media arm of the Pakistan Army, the IBO was launched on Monday,  November 27, 2023. The operation saw an intense exchange of fire between  security forces and  terrorists. HARIPUR - Gohar Ayub Khan, former foreign minister and ex-speaker of the National Assembly, breathed his last on Friday. PTI leader Omar Ayub said in a post on social media, “Mr. Gohar Ayub Khan, former Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan and former Minister of External Affairs passed away peacefully after a brief illness. The deceased was taken to a private hospital, but he did not survive, he is survived by two sons and two daughters.
