Pakistani troops kill eight terrorists in Waziristan operation: ISPR


 **Pakistani forces killed eight terrorists during operation in Waziristan**   **26. November 2023**   **Peshawar, Pakistan**   

In a major blow to terrorist activities, Pakistani security forces have killed eight militants in an Intelligence-Based Operation (IBO) in the South Waziristan region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. 

The operation was carried out based on  intelligence reports that indicated the presence of terrorists in the Sararogha area.   

According to a statement  by  Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the  media arm of the Pakistan Army, the IBO was launched on Monday, 

November 27, 2023. The operation saw an intense exchange of fire between  security forces and  terrorists. Eight terrorists were killed in the exchange of fire.

 The ISPR further said that the slain terrorists were involved in many terrorist activities against security forces and innocent civilians in the region. Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also found in their possession.  

 The operation is a testament to the steadfast determination of Pakistan's security forces to fight  terrorism. This sends a clear message to terrorists that they will not be tolerated and will be brought to justice.   

The ISPR also expressed  gratitude to the people of South Waziristan for their cooperation with the security forces. Their support is crucial to removing the threat of terrorism from the region.   

The successful operation is a welcome development for Pakistan and its fight against terrorism. 

This shows the effectiveness of intelligence-led operations and the commitment of the  security forces of Pakistan to the security of the country.
