The Interim Federal Government of Pakistan has reduced the prices of Petrol and High Speed ​​Diesel (HSD) in the second half of November 2023.

From 16.11.2023, the price of petrol has been reduced by Rs 2.04 per litre, while the price of HSD has been reduced by Rs 6.47 per litre. This takes petrol to new prices of Rs 281.34 per liter and HSD at Rs 296.71 per litre.
The finance department said in a notification that the decision to reduce petrol and diesel prices was taken due to the recent drop in the international price of oil andquot.
The announcement further added that the government is committed to helping the public and will continue to closely monitor the global oil market. The drop in petrol and diesel prices is expected to have a positive impact on inflation, which has been a major concern of the government in recent months.

It is also likely to increase economic activity as transport costs are reduced.
