Gold registers recovery as per tola price surges to Rs213,100 in Pakistan

Gold prices in Pakistan registered a recovery on November 10, 2023, with the per tola price surging to Rs213,100. This is an increase of Rs1,000 from the previous day's closing price.

The price of 10 grams of gold also increased by Rs1,000 to Rs185,190.

The recovery in gold prices is attributed to a number of factors, including:

  • Increased demand from investors: Gold is seen as a safe haven asset during times of economic uncertainty. As the global economy faces a number of challenges, such as rising inflation and the ongoing war in Ukraine, investors are turning to gold as a way to protect their wealth.
  • Weaker rupee: The Pakistani rupee has been depreciating against the US dollar in recent months. This makes gold more affordable for investors in Pakistan.
  • Increased demand from jewelers: The upcoming wedding season in Pakistan is expected to boost demand for gold from jewelers.

Analysts say that the recovery in gold prices is likely to continue in the near term. However, they caution that investors should do their own research before investing in gold.
